Angelica Pananganiban is not impressed with Phil Younghusband’s publicity stunts

Amidst her Twitter war against a rabid Azkals fan, Angelica Panganiban explained why she’s disappointed with Phil Younghusband’s venture into show business.

As an avid fan of the Philippine Azkals, she was just surprised that Phil seemed to be more interested in being a celebrity rather than a football player.

Wow, ang showbiz,” exclaimed the feisty actress in an interview with ABS-CBN reporters last March 3.

Phil’s attraction towards Angel Locsin has created much hype in the past few weeks.

But when asked about the issue that the Azkals heartthrob is just using the Imortal star for the sake of fame, Angelica merely replied, “Wala naman ako masasabi dun.

Angelica also refused to comment on Azkal’s star player Chieffy Caligdong’s declaration that he’s attracted to her.

Given the rising interest in football in the Philippines, Angelica explained that it would be preferable if a player gives his total commitment to the game instead of being distracted by other things.

E ‘di kung gusto niyo mag-artista e di iwan niyo yung football, magartista kayo,” she reiterated.

On the other hand, Phil clarified in a recent interview with TV Patrol that he has no intention of venturing into showbiz anytime soon because he’s still very much into football right now. (report from Rachelle Siazon, Push.com.ph)
