MANILA, Philippines- Young drama royalty Bea Alonzo is celebrating her 23rd birthday today.Born Phylber Angellie Ranollo Fagestrom, Alonzo is considered Star Magic’s jewel and one of the most bankable stars in the country.
She started her career in a teen-oriented drama-comedy show called "K2BU."
Alonzo's acting prowess shined when she was paired with John Lloyd Cruz on the defunct ABS-CBN prime time series "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay." She portrayed Katrina Argos.
In 2007, Alonzo was hailed Box Office Queen after her exemplary portrayal of Basha Eugenio in "One More Chance."
Aside from her successful team-ups with Cruz, Derek Ramsay and Sam Milby, Alonzo was blessed with hit TV series like "Maging Sino Ka Man" and "I Love Betty La Fea".
Alonzo is currently starring in fashion-inspired teleserye called "Magkaribal," with Gretchen Barretto.
The 23-year-old actress has been romantically linked to Mico Palanca, and now with controversial young actor Gerald Anderson.
Rumors about Alonzo and Anderson started after they were seen holding hands during this year’s Star Magic Ball. Fans of Anderson-Kim Chiu love team have purportedly opposed the reported budding romance.
Anderson, Alonzo and their respective families have reportedly received death threats from the "Kimerald" fans.
